Perforated Window Graphics — Full Coverage Outside, Visibility Inside

Perforated window graphics display a full-color printed image on the outside of a window while preserving visibility from the inside during daylight hours. The material is a vinyl film with tiny holes punched in a regular pattern — typically 60% vinyl (printed surface) and 40% open holes. From the outside, customers see your brand, promotion, or design. From the inside, employees and customers maintain a view through the glass. It is the ideal solution for storefronts, vehicle rear windows, and any glass surface where you want advertising without blocking sight lines.

Best first question

Where will people see this, and what should they do next?

Auto dealerships and showroom windows
Retail windows with promotional messaging

Practical ways local businesses use them

Retail storefront full-window advertising
Vehicle rear window promotional graphics
Restaurant window promotions and menus
Office privacy with exterior branding

What to know before you order.

Perforated window graphics work best with bold, high-contrast designs — the open holes reduce overall image sharpness compared to solid vinyl, so fine details and small text do not reproduce as clearly. Design with large text and strong color blocks. Avoid light-colored designs on bright backgrounds, as the holes will make the image look faded.

Good to know before ordering

The see-through effect disappears at night when interior lights are brighter than the outside — employees and customers inside will see the graphic clearly instead of out. This is a known limitation of the material. Not ideal for spaces where interior nighttime visibility is critical. Also not suitable for textured, frosted, or heavily tinted glass.

Questions About Perforated Window Graphics

Can people inside still see out through perforated window graphics?

Yes, during daylight hours. The 40% open holes allow partial visibility from inside. The effect reverses at night when interior lighting is brighter — the graphic becomes visible from inside and the outside view is reduced. Plan your installation with this in mind if nighttime interior visibility matters.

How is perforated vinyl different from regular window vinyl?

Regular window vinyl is opaque and blocks all light transmission — nothing is visible through it. Perforated vinyl has thousands of tiny holes that allow partial see-through from inside. Regular vinyl gives cleaner print quality; perforated gives see-through function. Choose based on whether interior visibility matters for your application.

Can perforated graphics go on vehicle rear windows?

Yes — this is a very popular application. Vehicle rear window perforated graphics let the driver maintain rear visibility through the rearview mirror while displaying a full-color printed design on the outside of the glass. The image is visible to vehicles and pedestrians behind you.
